Mountain Hiking

MOUNTAIN HIKE

It was such a beautiful day we decided to explore the mountain side across from our lake.

I thought I was going to have to be airlifted out !!!!!!!!

The grade of the mountain was really steep .............. the reward was a gorgeous mountain top lake that we had a chance to soak our feet in. ( I won't mention that along the way we found a real neat restaurant with cold beer and Bailey's.)

Natural beauty is everywhere in Switzerland. It really does look like we are in the middle of Heidi land with beautiful blue lakes, clear skies, and breathtaking views of the mountains. We even hear the clanging of bells from the sheep and Swiss cows just up the hill from our chalet. No car is needed here as we can either walk the many walking/bike paths that are everywhere or walk 5 minutes to our little train stop, which opens us up to the whole country of Switzerland.

Switzerland: The Land Of Great Beauty

Today we took the most scenic train ride from Lucern to Interlaken, Switzerland.

It was really hard to leave Lucern.........but the trip was magical through the mountains.

Two hours of majestic bliss............amazing sights.

We landed in the little village of Oberreid, Switzerland (Population: 450 ) which will be our home for the next 3 weeks. We found a neat chalet on VRBO overlooking Lake Brienzersee at the foot of the Jungfrau Swiss Alp mountains.
