Lucia the small shepard girl who had a vision of The Lady of the Rosary with her two cousins in Fatima

FATIMA, Portugal

In 1917 a young girl named Lucia was tending the family's sheep with her two cousins.  The 3 young girls witnessed a apparition (vision ) of a lady dressed in white.  The apparition appeared on the 13th of each month May through October of 1917.  Word spread of the experience the girls had and on Oct. 13, 1917 over 70,000 people witnessed the apparition.
The lady in white became know as THE LADY OF THE ROSARY.
Lucia went on to become a nun in the Catholic Church and had other visions.  The Lady in White made 3 prophesies that all became to be.  

Lucia passed away in 2005 being the last of the girls to live.

Ever since the visions the area has become a very sacred pilgrimage spot for thousands of folks every year.
With the 100th anniversary coming up in 2017 they are expecting over 2 million people in Fatima on May 13, 2017.

The Fatima old church, new church and the site of the vision are all very sacred and special.
