Windows and Doors of Gaudi Home
We had one last shot at Barcelona as we transitioned from the group tour which end in Madrid to our next stay in the French Riviera.
Our hotel for the night ( Renaissance- Thanks Mike) was one block from the home designed by Gaudi. Just AMAZING.
Another stroke of luck was the wonderful restaurant we happened on (336 ) which was only a block from the hotel. We met the owner Christian, (pictured above ) who spent a number of years as a chef in Chicago. He has had the honor of having prepared meals for 3 US Presidents. ( Carter, Clinton and GW Bush ). The food, service and environment were excellent and the price was very reasonable. What would Christian's dream be.........to live in Alaska and fish everyday. We all have our DREAMS. |
