RED BULL
In 1975 a caffeine / sugar loaded energy drink was introduced in California. The drink is now sold in 164 countries throughout the world. The 49% owner is from Austria........Dietrich Mateschitz discovered a version of the drink in Thailand back in 1987 when he found it helped him with jet-lag. We drove by the amazing corporate headquarters outside of Salzburg, Austria. The owner is a Marketing powerhouse with his wild promotions of all Extreme Sports. He has ownership in soccer, football, hockey, race cars, motocross, windsurfing, snowboarding, surfing and kayaking operations around the world. We visited a Red Bull retail store in Salzburg which is filled with everything you can print the name Red Bull on.
Throughout Europe Red Bull is on everything..........very much like
like Pepsi or Coca Cola in the U.S.
Because of it's high caffeine and sugar level the drink has been questioned by many in regard to health concerns.
