Mijas, Spain-Peaceful Mountain Top

It was in Mijas, Spain that we discovered....
you really can buy Love!  The flavor was raisin ice cream with either red wine or chocolate sauce.  It may not sound good, but trust me, it was love at first taste!
Mijas is spotless and colorful filled with romantic restaurants
The donkey taxis added a touch of whimsy to the quiet, peaceful village setting.
Incredible views looking over Spain's Riviera
Special Canadian travel friends
Scenic tower
Beautiful green space
More blue flower pots

Mijas is a small town situated high above the Costa del Sol (Spain's "riviera" on the Mediterranean).  It is quiet, peaceful and has a calm healing energy to it.   To call Mijas picturesque is really an understatement.  The views were incredible and the town was absolutely spotless.  Many areas in Spain have a custom of hanging dozens of blue flower pots on walls, so not only are flowers hanging from window boxes, street lamps, the walls are also covered with flowers too.  The restaurant photo above gives you a good idea of the feeling of the town.
