Spain started it's story 2,200 years ago.........lot's of conflict with some amazing highs and lows.  Today it's struggling with it's economy but it is a very proud and fascinating country.

The Moors ( Muslims from N. Africa ) were a large influence on the country.

Lots of culture and world influence........many composers performed their famous works in Spain.........Beethoven, Mozart, Rossini, and Bizet ( The Barber of Seville )

Spain today is a leader in the world of solar energy.......lots of sunshine.  We drove by 3 towers like the one pictured above........amazing structures.

They had a real knack for travel......Columbus to the Americas in 1492 and Magellan around the world in 1519.  The 1500s were Spain's rock and roll years.......they had it all going for them.

The countryside is a mix of Colorado, South Dakota and Kansas all rolled into one.........really diverse.......really beautiful.
