Budapest: The Capital City of Hungary
We were gifted from the universe with a tour guide named Zoe who was waiting at the top of the subway system for us.........in reality she was going to buy eggplant but something pulled her to the area where we met. We stopped to ask this young lady directions and then spent the next two days in her shadow as she showed us the heart and soul of Budapest. Life has a funny way of bestowing presents on us..........and sometimes we don't even catch the gift because of the blindness we suffer from occasionally.
Budapest was a treasure we would have never realized without the guidance of Zoe and her love for her country and the city of Budapest.
We soaked in the tub at night to relieve ourselves of all the sore muscles from the long walks and steep hills but we came to love both sides of the river........one side being Buda.........the other side being Pest........and now you know where the name of the city came from.
Our river boat cruise on the Danube brought up the romance of the waltz that was triggered by it's name..........the moon was full and the ancient buildings along the river side were all lit up in all their glory.
